Contracting and Employment

Target Group helps clients meet contracting goals with minority and women-owned businesses, and employment goals with minorities, women and community residents. To provide people with meaningful work opportunities, we work with large and small businesses to identify job slots, work with trade groups to establish apprenticeships, and work with community service providers to link people with job training and job readiness programs.

Technical Assistance

To build capacity among small businesses, Target Group offers technical assistance to help these businesses become certified, obtain lines of credit and insurance, create business plans, set up professional accounting and billing practices, and make needed investments in informational technology.

Community Development

Target Group implements a community development process that includes a holistic approach with the community. We plan and manage conferences on workforce diversity as well as networking sessions for Minority Business Enterprises/Women Business Enterprises and small businesses. We also develop and oversee community relations activities to build local support for major projects and bolster a client's image in the community. Services include preparing and distributing mailings and newsletters, as well as facilitating informational meetings and public hearings.

Compliance Monitoring

Target Group helps clients track contracting and hiring activity and prepares reports to verify these activities to compliance monitors. We evaluate affirmative action programs for their effectiveness and can conduct an impact analysis to determine the economic ramifications of a particular project in a certain geographical area, racial group or income bracket.
