PROJECT DESCRIPTION
In September of 2005, McClier began construction of the New Kennedy King College. One of the seven City Colleges of Chicago,
the campus contains six buildings, green space, an athletic field, and parking lots. Former Mayor Richard M Daley stated that he expected the new campus to attract additional housing and commercial development to Englewood. In 2013, the college was ranked among the Top 50 community colleges in America by Washington Monthly Magazine and in 2014 was selected as a top-10 finalist for the Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence.
